Either the Catholic Church is the one true church, or Jesus Christ is a liar

In the Gospel According to Matthew (16:18), Our Lord says he will build his Church on Peter; therefore, any church separated from Peter or his successor is not part of Christ’s Church. We can wear blinders, make excuses, and multiply interpretations, but the bare fact of the matter remains: ET SUPER HANC PETRAM AEDIFICABO ECCLESIAM MEAM.
