The Book of Psalms contains untold treasures for the heart of man, because it is the prayerbook of Our Lord, who inspired his ancestor David to record in it not only his prayers but also the prayers of every human heart. Regular, repeated recitation of the psalms molds our hearts into the likeness of his and gives voice to everything our hearts have to say to the Father.
